About Lori

The first thing you need to know about me is that we are probably a lot alike. I want to do things well, I always want to learn and grow, and I care deeply about others.  Oh, and I love Jesus.

Like you, I have experienced some tough things in life and have had to learn how to be brave rather than perfect and do things anyway. I have days when I feel like I am doing nothing right. I get overwhelmed, hide on my patio, and send SOS texts to my sisters.

For over 30 years, I have been privileged to listen to, coach, and counsel people. My social work education, spiritual direction training, and years of continued learning from experts in their fields and stories like yours prepare me to help you on your journey.

When we are together, I want to create a space for you to explore your thoughts,  feelings, desires, and dreams. We will find your goals and a road map to move you forward!  I use a variety of counseling skills to help you with this. My go-to is cognitive behavioral work because, as humans, we DO have the capacity to change!

A few of my favorite things right now are having a front-row seat to watching my young adult daughters be fabulous, sipping tea on a slow morning on my patio, writing in my journal, taking road trips, laughing with friends, and learning all I can to build and grow my practice to serve you well.

I invite you to join me. I know trusting a stranger takes courage. Let this be a first step to practice being brave.  Together, we will find the HOPE and HEALING you need to make the changes you are looking for.
