Resources

What resources does Lori recommend?

Whether or not you ever become a client, these are the numbers and next steps Lori would want you to know about.

If you need help right now

Counseling appointments are scheduled during business hours, so please do not wait on an email or voicemail in an emergency. These lines are staffed around the clock.

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: call or text 988, 24 hours a day.
  • Crisis Text Line: text HOME to 741741.
  • Emergency: call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Reaching out to a crisis line is not an overreaction, and you don't have to be certain before you call.

Deciding where to start

You want help with how you're feeling

Start with counseling. If you already know what you're dealing with, these pages describe what the work looks like: anxiety and depression, eating disorders and body image, grief and transitions, and self-worth.

You want space for your life with God

That's spiritual direction. If you're unsure which one you need, read counseling vs. spiritual direction.

You have practical questions first

Insurance, private pay, session length and what a first appointment involves are all covered on counseling information. Billing rights are on the Good Faith Estimate page.

Sometimes it helps to read a little before you reach out. Lori's articles cover the questions people wonder about quietly: what counseling is like, whether it might be time to talk with someone, and how faith can be part of the conversation.
