What happens to information you send through this site?

Email and ordinary website messages are not secure or HIPAA-compliant channels. Please don't include health details (symptoms, diagnoses, medications, treatment history) in a first message. A name, a way to reach you, and a sentence about what you're looking for are all that's needed.

When a contact form is used on this site, it collects only your name, an email address or phone number, and a short message. It never asks for health information, insurance numbers, dates of birth or payment details. Spam is filtered with a simple hidden field rather than a third-party CAPTCHA, so no additional tracking is loaded.

Messages are used for one purpose: so Lori can reply to you. They are not sold, shared or used for advertising, and there are no advertising or social tracking pixels on this site.

How long messages are kept: website messages are retained for no more than 60 days and are then deleted automatically. If you become a client, your clinical record is kept separately under the Notice of Privacy Practices and Iowa recordkeeping requirements, not in this website's records.
